Gallery Widget

Hi, I'm trying to add a Gallery widget to "display a photo gallery or slideshow" and it installs fine, but the problem is the button you click that says "choose images" doesn't work. It seems to try and open but fails to complete its function. I've tried clicking the button with Firefox and Chrome but it won't work on either browser. Anyone know how to make this work?

Right now if you were to look at my site home page that photo you would see in the siderbar is not to be confused with the Gallery widget that I would like to add, that is the "Image" widget (Display an image in your sidebar).

    thanks

The blog I need help with is avrillavignetalkshow.wordpress.com.

  2. To display an image gallery in the sidebar in a text widget start by creating the gallery in a draft post, then switch the editor to The Text (HTML) editor in the draft post and copy the gallery shortcode into a text widget.

  3. Hi

I'm also having the same problem, i.e the gallery widget does not allow one to choose images. I've tried timethief's advice but it does not address the specific widget's problem

Yes I found the links very helpful, thanks. Although it should be noted that the "gallery widget" is not working, it is not allowing you to add images because the button doesn't work. But this workaround does the job by putting the short codes in a blank text (html) widget.

For those that would like to see what you add to your blank html text widget it looks something like this: You add your photo ids of the pics you would like in the line separated by a comma,

    For a regular thumbnails:
    [gallery ids="3434,3432,984"]

    For a slideshow:
    [gallery ids="3434,3184,3430,3417,984,974" type="slideshow"]

Thanks everyone for your help. :)
