Genesis framework on wordpress.com blog??

  1. So...I'm a totally novice here. Last year I started a wordpress.com website and am self-taught on most of the basics.

That said, I'm at a point where I'd like to build things up a bit and have just learned about the Genesis Framework.

The problem is, I have no idea how it works -- and I don't want to spend the money on it without knowing what I'm getting myself into.

Is the Genesis framework something I can even USE with my existing wordpress blog? Would I have to start all over again??

Any direction or advice would be much appreciated.

The blog I need help with is awesomeasaone.wordpress.com.

  2. We cannot add themes at wordpress.COM, we are limited to the themes found in the dashboard under appearance > themes. Themes found on the internet are for self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG.

Short answer: To use genesis framework, you would have to self-host a wordpress blog somewhere like godaddy, bluehost, etc.

  3. If you are using WordPress.COM, then you can not use Genesis framework.
If you are using WordPress.ORG, then you are in the wrong forum:
