Get rid of display name on blog post

  1. Hi - I am a new user and I am trying to set up a blog using various themes. How can I make sure that each of my blog posts don't have any display name show up??

I don't want each of my posts to have "by %user_name%". Some themes don't have this listed and some do. But there are certain themes that I really like but I would like to get rid of the "by" for each blog post.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The blog I need help with is hoopsatlarge.wordpress.com.

  2. Unless you are very good with CSS editing AND have the paid CSS upgrade, you won't be able to change what the theme normally displays. If you are good with it and buy the upgrade, you can change it, but that's entirely up to you and your editing skills.

  3. to set up a blog using various themes

The only themes we can use are found here > Appearance > Themes and we can only activate a single theme (one) on a blog. Some themes do display author names and some do not. Your best alternative is to choose a theme that does not display author names. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/author-displayed-or-not/

If you do have CSS editing experience and are willing to purchase an annually renewable custom design upgrade then you may be able to remove the author name display, depending on the theme.

  4. Thank you very much for your responses!! This really helps.

  5. You're welcome from me. :)
