Getting comments to show on post page

  1. Hi,
I was wondering if there was a way to get text from comments to display
at the bottom of the post without clicking on the comment bubble.
I feel like people would like to see the comments without clicking through
and it would help to generate discussion.

Is this possible in any capacity?

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is onthebutton.wordpress.com.

No. Your main posts page is designed to showcase your posts only, not the comments (imagine what it would look like if you had fifty comments below each post). You only get to see the comments if you click on the comments tab, or if you view one single post (by clicking on its title, or by arriving at it via a link).

  3. plenty of blogs show comments on the post page.
while it would be nice to have 50 comments each post,
    we're not quite there yet.
a lot of times blogs show the first ten comments
and then link to the comments page.
    is any of this possible?
it seems like really simple functionality.

    thanks

  4. As pan stated this is not possible here on WordPress.COM

@3lialtman: Could you give us an example of those "plenty of blogs"? Because I don't know any.

  6. @lorawow thank you for letting me know

  7. You're welcome.
