Getting email notifications about my comments on my own blog

  1. Don't know what I did, if anything, but suddenly I'm getting email notifications when I make comments on my own blog. I don't want them; they clutter my inbox. I only want to know when visitors comment.

How do I stop these notifications of my own comments?

The blog I need help with is piedtype.com.

  2. Are you able to clear the notifications if you go to http://wordpress.com/#!/notifications/ directly?

  3. P.S. Are you logged in under the username account that registered the blog in question? Do you have two username accounts set up as official users of the blog?

  4. The notifications appear on the list you mention. There are options to trash or delete them, but I was afraid those meant remove the comment from the blog post, and I don't want to do that.

I do have several user names on the account, but I am logged in under the name that registered the blog.

  5. I realizeded I might have been logged in differently when I made a couple of those comments. Understandably I would then get notifications of those "visitor" comments. But a look at the addresses on the emails shows that although one or two were from my alter ego, some were also from my main address/ID.

(Going to eliminate those alter egos to prevent that from happening again.)
