Getting rid of page title

    Hi,
    Could someone tell me the bit of CSS I need to insert to make the title text go away on a specific page of my site?
    The page I need help with is this one:
    http://mountmaxwellradio.com/negatives/

    I still want it to be named 'negatives' on the home page as a link, I just don't want the big 'negatives' text at the top of the page itself.

    Can anyone help with this?

    The blog I need help with is mountmaxwellradio.com.

  2. Hi there,

    You can use the display property for this. Using your browser's inspector you can find out a selector for the element you're trying to manipulate. In this case, it can be #content .post_title or just .post_title, depending on your needs.

    So we end up with the following rule:

    #content .post_title {
        display: none;
    }

    Hope this helps.

  3. I have the same problem.

    If I enter this information in the Text portion on the edit screen it shows up as entered: #content .post_title {
    display: none;
    }
    If I save it to my CSS custom design, it doesn't do a thing.

    Sorry, you've lost me. Won't putting in what you typed just make the titles disappear on ALL my posts?

    I was hoping someone could show me the exact code to put in the CSS customization box to make the title disappear on just the one page.

    I don't know what you mean when you refer to using the 'display property.'

  6. Hey MMR,

    Indeed, that snippet will make titles disappear on all of your posts. If you only want to change your Negatives page, we'll need a CSS selector that is specific to that page. For that, we can use the browser inspector again and take a look at the "body" element of the page. The inspector will show a series of "classes" for that element. See the part that says "page-id-859"? That is specific to the Negatives page.

    We can use that for our rule, like so:

    body.page-id-859 .post_title {
        display: none;
    }

    Oh, and I should have been clearer when mentioning the "display" property. It's that bit inside the rule that we use to state that we want that element to be hidden.

    Hope this helps.
