   When I go into the dashboard to add a new post or edit an old one, I have problems with both the visual and html versions. For the visual one, it won't scroll down a certain amount, about a page or so, and any tools I have that would normally be at the bottom of the edit window just sit in the middle blocking the text. I can still edit it, and since I copy and paste from word documents it's not a huge problem, but its still annoying.

   The html is working slightly better, but not by much. If I click on the html version, the entire edit box goes black, making it impossible to see, though again, I can still edit it. Fullscreen works fine, so I can add links and so on if I really have to, but I find that extremely confusing and much prefer the visual version.

   This has actually been going on for a while, but I haven't really been able to find a place to ask about it.

   The blog I need help with is dominacity.wordpress.com.

   Will you please provide us with some details so we can try to help you?

   1. How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.

   2. Are you using http:// or https:// see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/ Please try the opposite.

   3. Exactly which browser and version of it are you using? if you don't know click this link to find out.

   4. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies?

   5. Is your browser version up to date? You can upgrade any browser version here.

   6. Have you tried using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled?

   7. Do you have third party cookies enabled?

   8. Do you have JavaScript enabled?

   9. Do you have another browser you can try?

   1. DSL. I have both a laptop (which uses wifi from a DSL modem) and a desktop, which both have the problem.

   2. I'm using http://, but I just tried https://, and it didn't help.

   3. The most recent version of firefox on both. I believe that is 9, but I'm not sure. There was at least one update since this problem arose, and it didn't change anything.

   4. On a daily basis. No change.

   5. Yes.

   6. I had not tried that, but I just did, and no change.

   7. I believe so, but I'm not sure. How can I check that?

   8. Yes. Should I turn that off?

   9. Yes, trying now...both Internet Explorer 8 and Google Chrome work fine, though IE did say there was a problem with the software, and it had to act in "compatibility mode." However, I have other problems with both of those browsers, and would really prefer to be able to do it in firefox.
