Glossary Feature (beta)

  1. We've recently launched a glossary feature in GlotPress on WordPress.com. Language validators can create/update the glossary by clicking on the 'Glossary' link in the translation set view (where the strings are listed).

You can find examples in the Swedish, Japanese, and French (Canada) translations.

Once terms and translations are added to the glossary, they will show up as tooltips when the term is part of an original string in the translation editor.

You can see how this looks here:

This feature is still under development, but we're really hoping it will make translation work easier. Let us know what you think!

  2. Hi Yoav,

the links to Swedish, Japanese and French glossary are missing the http://, so they are all broken.

I tried to create a glossary for German, but I got an error:
"You are not allowed to do that!"

    Cheers
    Torsten

  3. FYI I am one of the validators for German and the feature itself is hilarious! :)

  4. Thanks Torsten, I'm looking into it.

  5. Torsten: should be fixed now. Let me you know if you're still having any issues.

  6. Works like a charm! Thank you. :)
