In reviewing the different themes offered for WP blogs, I have to say that for blogging neophytes many of those terms mean diddly squat—as in I don't understand what they mean, or how they translate into features and benefits.
In other words, I could really use a VISUAL of what everything means. For example, "fixed-width vs. responsive width," "translation ready" "responsive layout" "theme options" "microformats" ... huh?
Does WP just assume everyone knows what all that means? It's very hard to pick a theme when one doesn't have a glossary to (a) define terms and (b) to know what the benefits of having (or not having) particular features.
It would be GREAT if there was some sort of animated graphic that gave a visual on how all these features looked in use on each theme. At least the Premium themes should have them since they're charging for them!
Maybe I'm the only non-techie in existence—if so I'm not ashamed to plead ignorance. I just want to know how to choose the right theme based on what I'm trying to do with the understanding that much of it I will learn (as I did before with my portfolio/blog) by trial and error.
The blog I need help with is tillyglutz.wordpress.com.
