We have a WP blog on our site and I've been blogging in hopes of helping our SEO. I'm signed up for Google Alerts for words concerning our industry (cupcake tower, cupcake stand, etc) and I see our blogs appearing there (see below). The problem is that the body of the text isn't related to the blog, it's coming from a footer I have on the template. That's not even the title of the blog. It's one of the keywords associated with the blog. Can you tell me why this would be happening and if I'm correct in assuming that our blogs aren't doing our SEO any good since they're not being read right? Our blog is http://penguincupcaketowers.com/wordpress/
Thank you,
Chris
