Google analytics

  1. Anyone know how to add Google analytics to a wordpress blog?

The blog I need help with is originhq.wordpress.com.

  2. That's can do on a wordpress.com blog. There are however other free third party visitor tracking systems we can use and if you click my username and look under "Visitor Tracking" you will find them on my Popular Posts page.

  3. Ok. Thanks for the link.

What about changing the theme templates to better designs. The standard free ones don't impress me. You?

  4. You can only use the 70+ templates:

  5. If you don't like the selection of themes, and you want to use Google Analytics (above and beyond the use of it that WordPress.com makes and reports to you) then WordPress.com is probably the wrong place for your blog.
But there are lots of other places you can get WordPress hosting, such as those listed at:
    http://wordpress.org/hosting/

Reading this sentry in the support documentation will help your decide which of the two wordpress options is best suited to your needs http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
