I am having difficulty installing Google Analytics on my blog. When I attempt to paste my tracking code through page source, it is not possible. If I choose inspect element, edit as html and then insert, it appears but tracking shows up as not installed on my GA admin page. Any help appreciated

No, Google Analytics cannot be used on WordPress.com blogs at this time.
Did not show up on original search. Once I found your answer I tried to delete my query, to no avail
