    HTML tag Add a meta tag to your site's home page.

    1. Copy the meta tag below, and paste it into your site's home page. It should go in the <head> section, before the first <body> section.
    <meta name="google-site-verification" content="OouC8joP_1aYp8KmEUtjU-R7xxzXorg-AmkRVZnNRJM" />

    HTML file upload Upload an HTML file to your site.

    1. Download this HTML verification file. [googledc2b8dc1e2434386.html]
    2. Upload the file to http://nlsnow.com/
    3. Confirm successful upload by visiting http://nlsnow.com/googledc2b8dc1e2434386.html in your browser.

    The blog I need help with is leddirect.wordpress.com.

  2. The only method we can use to verify blog ownership of a free hosted WordPress.com blog is found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/

  3. Hi there - as timethief says, you can do a Google site verification using the method described here:

    Just let us know if you need further assistance.

    Ummm ... I don't understand why you feel the need to post what I already posted above. Is this something new that Staff will be doing ie. tailgating Volunteer little Sir Echo?

  5. timethief - since this thread was tagged with modlook, I assumed you wanted a Staff response.

  6. Aha! Thank you. That makes perfect sense now. I was so confused earlier when there were so many threads that were modlooked. :S

  7. No problem. :-)
