Google Apps verification

  1. I am making a Google Apps account and i need to verify it but i cannot because i need to upload a .html file but wordpress doesn't allow you and the other options require you to edit the head stuff which you have to pay for and i dont know what the dns record is. this is what it says

You can use this option if are able to sign in to your domain registrar or hosting provider and add a new DNS record.
    Instructions:
This enables us to provide more specific instructions.
A TXT record is an entry within the Domain Name System (DNS) that provides supplemental information about your domain. You can create a TXT record that proves to Google that you own the domain.
    1. Add the TXT record below to the DNS configuration for jezh42.wordpress.com.
    google-site-verification=NYqaGaXFREsRJAuaaxEheNA4IqA5tdS2KO1XKoBtCQI
    2. Click Verify below.
When Google finds this DNS TXT record, we'll make you a verified owner of the domain. (Note: DNS changes may take some time. If we don't find the record immediately, we'll check for it periodically.)
To stay verified, don't remove the TXT record, even after verification succeeds.

    Please help me!!!

  2. I found this website http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/google-apps-email/ and was it says you need to pay for the dns record thing so why cant they let us upload .html please help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. The instructions you mention are when you have purchased the domain mapping upgrade and want to use Google Apps for email. Is that what you want to do?

To verify your site with google webmaster tools, follow these instructions http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/#google-webmaster-tools you do not need domain mapping to do this.

  4. And I've just notice that you've added a tag "analytics". We cannot use Google Analytics on WordPress.com sites. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#additional-info Can I use Google Analytics?
