Google Malware Reports

  • Apparently google has found content on my blog linked to malware? I am not sure how to find the image or link (I know that I link from other pages often) and remove it so that my site will be unflagged. It says the content is linked from “westangleschurch.org”
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    My blog address is wildsa.wordpress.com

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • if you have any posts on your blog focused on religion, church, christianity, etc. please check them for the link in question. I have flagged this thread fo Staff attention.

  • I think I found the posting (about dreams? weird.) because I can now my page will load. The problem now, is that I can’t open that specific post to remove the image, even in the dashboard editing page. Will I have to just delete the post entirely to remedy the problem?

  • Did you upload the image into your Media Libraray? If so then go into your Media Library and delete the image there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/media/

If not and you linked to it then don’t delete the post as Staff can delete the image from the post for you.

  • No, unfortunately I just linked to it (it seemed like a good idea at the time.)
Thank you for your help! I really appreciate the feedback.

  • You’re welcome. You will have to be patient while waiting for Staff to get to this thread and delete the link for you. Please assist them by posting the title of the post that contains the malware image link.

  • The title of the post is “Nightmares and Dreams”
It has been removed from the site and kept as a draft.

  • The warning appears to be gone now. Are you still seeing it?

If so, please try clearing your browser’s cache.

If you ever encounter that again, the warning has an ignore button, which will allow you to access your site and remove the offending link.
