Google only Displaying Home Page for Searches Dealing with New Blog Posts

  1. Whenever I Google Search Key Words relating to posts I have writing within the last few weeks, the only result from my site that appears is the Home Page with the description being the title of the post from the home page.

This is terrible for targeted traffic and I need to know how to fix this.

Here is a link to my blog: http://avatarthelegendofkorra.wordpress.com/

If you want and example of what I'm talking about, Google Search this phrase: The Legend of Korra Book 2 Speculation: Flashbacks

You'll notice that the first result is the Home Page of my blog rather than the actual blog post, which will not be displayed unless the URL (http://avatarthelegendofkorra.wordpress.com/2012/08/08/the-legend-of-korra-book-2-speculation-flashbacks/) is searched in Google.

Help would really be appreciated, thank you!

The blog I need help with is avatarthelegendofkorra.wordpress.com.

  2. Hey there,

Google's indexing is entirely at its discretion--there aren't any changes on our end that can change how it indexes content.

You can sign up for Google Webmaster Tools and enable it on your blog. This will allow you to see a report from Google on various indexing-related and search-related items, which may help you get the results to appear as you'd like.

    Best,
    P.
