Grab My Button Code?

    I have tried multiple times to add the html for the text/html widget to add an image, and the code for someone else to simply copy and paste to share my blog button on their blog. If anyone could help or maybe be nice enough to give me a simple copy / paste cheat sheet I would be forever THANKFUL.

    The blog I need help with is networkingwitches.wordpress.com.

    That is the code I'm using right now. What I did want is something of how it looks above. I'm not sure how to explain it.

  6. Yeah... that's all wrong. For one, you can't have "a" tags inside the "src" property of an "img" tag. Also, shortcodes don't work on text widgets.

    Gimme a few minutes and I'll post something that may help.

  7. okay, try this:

    <div style="background:#f8f8f8;border:solid 1px #ddd;overflow:auto;white-space:nowrap;margin:auto;padding:5px 10px;">
    <a href="http://networkingwitches.wordpress.com" title="Network Witches"> <img src="http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu192/networkingwitches2/nwpwkgjs.png" width="129" height="128" alt="Network Witches" style="border:none;" /> </a>
    </div>

    HTH

  8. sorry, forgot to double encode the tag characters. It should be like this:

    <div style="background:#f8f8f8;border:solid 1px #ddd;overflow:auto;white-space:nowrap;margin:auto;padding:5px 10px;">
    <a href="http://networkingwitches.wordpress.com" title="Network Witches"> <img src="http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu192/networkingwitches2/nwpwkgjs.png" width="129" height="128" alt="Network Witches" style="border:none;" /> </a>
    </div>
  9. man... lame forum.. hold on I'll find another way to double encode the tag characters.

  10. Here, this SHOULD display correctly this time. Just copy the code and paste it like that in your text widget.

    <div style="background:#f8f8f8;border:solid 1px #ddd;overflow:auto;white-space:nowrap;margin:auto;padding:5px 10px;">
    <a href="http://networkingwitches.wordpress.com" title="Network Witches"><img src="http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu192/networkingwitches2/nwpwkgjs.png" width="129" height="128" alt="Network Witches" style="border:none;" /></a>
    </div>
  11. this forum sucks! it shouldn't parse encoded characters.

    Just copy the code from me blog. Let me know once you've done it so that I can delete that post

  12. lol I was too slow getting there. I'll message you via your blog, hope you don't mind, and thanks a ton for your help.

  13. No problem.

    I enabled the post again. Please let me know once you've copied the code so that I can delete it from me blog.

    Thanks.
