Gray box in some windows

  1. At some screens during set up, the top half of my window was covered with a gray box, so I couldn't read what I was supposed to do. I use chrome and Windows 7.

Here is one page where it happened: http://wordpress.com/#!/read/find-friends/

The blog I need help with is todddaily.wordpress.com.

  2. Will you please take a screenshot, upload it to your Media Library where Staff can examine it and return to this thread to post the file name for the screenshot.

  3. This is my first day with wordpress and I don't know where the Media Library is. It may be that it's under the gray box.

It comes up when I log into wordpress.com. I got to this string by clicking on the link in the e-mail that was sent to me. When I open my blog, without logging in, the page comes up fine.

  4. This is the direct log-in link to your blog http://todddaily.wordpress.com/wp-admin
    See here http://en.support.wordpress.com/media/

  5. Screen shot in google

I had to open in this in internet explorer to get to the media library. The gray box doesn't appear in ie, just in google. It does not appear anywhere else in google, just in wordpress.

  6. If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ will you please try upgrading or switching?

  7. Hi there, could you please try:

    1) Clearing browser cache and cookies.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

    2) If that doesn't help, please turn off all Chrome extensions:

    - Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
    - Select Tools.
    - Select Extensions.
    - On the Extensions page, click Disable for the extension you'd like to temporarily remove.

Let me know how it goes.
