Does WP provide the Guided Transfer Service for transferring from Typepad to a WP self hosted (Host Gator) blog with registered domain name?
My current WP blog is in the works due to difficulty with importing from Typepad.
The blog I need help with is jillconyers.wordpress.com.
The Guided Transfer Upgrade is not for transferring content from Typepad blog to a WordPress.org install. It's for moving content from a free hosted WordPress.com blog into a WordPress.org install. Please see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/
