Hacked By Zofix!

  1. I have a magazine on http://daftndirekt.wordpress.com
The account keeps getting hacked and the post's HTML code keeps getting replaced with a picture of a skull which says "Hacked"
The link posted instead of the HTML code is- http://www.analistidipolitiche.it/hacked.jpg

The website of the hacker is- http://www.analistidipolitiche.it/
The blog keeps getting hacked again & again and it is a real pain to keep uploading the magazine repeatedly! =/
I have changed the password at least 5 times.

The blog I need help with is daftndirekt.wordpress.com.

  2. I have been here for 5 years. In all that time not a single report of hacking was an actual hacking. In all cases people had more than one blog Admin when it's not recommended, or they gave their log-in information to others, or they left it where others could get it, or guess what it was. Change your password > http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/

Now here's another issue if you hotlinked to a post on another site they could be displaying that image instead of the one you lined to because you are illegally using their bandwidth. Is that the case here?

  3. Also check your users to make sure there is not an extra user. There was a "hacked" site here recently and someone had gotten the email address for a Post by email and was emailing in the Post.

Also have you triple checked your computer for a virus that might be logging your password?

You can also ask the staff to see what they can see in the logs: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  4. You need to contact staff directly on this so that they can look into it.

  5. Soory about the typos: Edited version
if you hotlinked to an image you do not have permission from the copyright holder to use post on another site they could be displaying that "hacked" image instead of the one you linked to because you are illegally using their bandwidth. Is that the case here?

  6. I don't see any problems now.

Based on the description, I'm suspecting hotlink protection as the culprit here. Most hosting providers limit bandwidth (data transfer) just like space, so by embedding any item from elsewhere, you're effectively stealing bandwidth from the source. Some places, like YouTube, don't mind at all, other places employ simple blocks, and some employ scare tactics like the hacked message you saw.

  7. @TimeThief- No such issue!
    @thesacredpath- Did that!
@auxclass- Did not think of that! Will certainly scan my computer for any such software!
@macmanx- Issuu has no problems whatsoever with embedding. Don't see any other issue.
