Hello, I just made a post right here:

    http://northierthanthou.com/2013/05/19/couple-more-murals-and-a-squirrel-from-denver-no-the-one-is-not-a-self-portrait/

I noticed that the screen said my server was busy for a few minutes and I should refresh. I tried that several times, and it never changed. After scrolling around it appears that the post went up, but none of the tags I used went into the reader, because my post is not appearing in any of the categories I fed into it. I'm not getting the usual spike in the first 15 minutes after posting, so something is wrong. It looks like my post is up but no notifications went out. is that a temporary hiccup or do I have a deeper problem?

The blog I need help with is northierthanthou.com.

    ...er, half posted.

  3. I would expect that's a temporary hiccup assuming you did everything else right. I saw that server message myself. You may wish to take the post Private, change the time of posting to later, and re-publish it and see if that forces it out.

  4. It happened to me as well right after I click the publish button. I did what the message said to do. I didn't use the back button. I waited 5 minutes and now my post is published.

I keep getting this message when I try to edit and update the post:

    "Server Maintenance

Your server is going through a few minutes of routine maintenance. Please don't touch your browser for a few minutes.

    What do I do?

If you were posting a comment or making a post on your blog then do not press BACK on your browser. Wait 5 minutes and press the refresh icon on your browser. Your comment or post will be sent as normal.
If you are browsing a blog here just wait a few moments and hit refresh. The page you were expecting will appear."

  6. Edit your post and add what's missing to it and then click update.

  7. Yes and ... find something else to do for awhile and then log in and edit the post.

Honestly, at this point I'm not trying to edit the post. I'm just trying to see why it seems to be invisible to everyone but me. It isn't showing on the tag-lines; it didn't send an auto-link on twitter, and I see no hits to that page in my stats. I had hoped that updating the post might trigger the tags.

Ah, I missed the earlier comments. Thank you for the suggestions. I'll try to repost.

  10. You're welcome and best wishes.

So, my second post seems to have worked, but I still didn't see my own posts in the tags, at least not an hour into the posting. I got my auto-tweet, and hits started rolling in. Now at least one of my pics (it's a photo gallery) are registering as bad addresses for another user, though when I click on it, I get exactly what I'm supposed to. This is all very strange. I just don't know if WordPress is having problems, or if something in my account is conky-wobble, but I am having a lot of technical problems with this one post.
