Header image Profile theme

  1. I want to reduce the size of my header image and I also want to be able to edit the font size of my post titles and the my main title header seperately

    The blog I need help with is lovefromjackie.com.

  2. First you should pick a minimum height you can do that by using this CSS:

    .home-header {
    	min-height: 320px;
    }

    Adjust the number as needed.

    Next, you can change how much of the image appears using the background-size property in CSS. Here are a couple different examples you can try out:

    #header {
    	-webkit-background-size: auto;
    	-moz-background-size: auto;
    	-o-background-size: auto;
    	background-size: auto;
    }
    #header {
    	-webkit-background-size: contain;
    	-moz-background-size: contain;
    	-o-background-size: contain;
    	background-size: contain;
    }

    To learn more about the background of background-size property, see http://www.css3.info/preview/background-size/

  3. I'm trying to widen the main column of my Profile them. I want the pictures to run the width of the column, if possible. My site is jennetteseward.com.

  4. jgraves71, could you post separate questions in a separate help request next time? It helps us keep the forums organized and searchable.

    Aside: whoa, I love the header image on http://jennetteseward.com/

    Okay, for the image width issue, you may be able to fix that with settings and not CSS (you've posted in the CSS forum). First, check to make sure the large image size is at least as large as your main content width on the Settings > Media page:
    https://jennetteseward.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-media.php

    Then try inserting an image in a new post. When you add the image, set the size to large or full.

    Past that, using a single column gallery might work really well for you. Try adding one with the type set to "Thumbnail Grid" and the columns set to "1."
