I have an image from word for my header that looks pix-elated when uploaded to the site. I created the image in word and have tried to save it as a pdf. Is there another form I need to save it in so when its uploaded it will look true to its original form? thank you so much for your help, stratus logistics

Forget about using WORD please. I suggest that you use image editing software to create your custom header image and presize it to the exact dimensions required by your theme. See desktop image editing software and online image editing software links in this post

.pdf is not an image file.
You'll want .jpg, .gif or possibly .png
