headers on posts in skylark

  1. Using the skylark theme. It puts the featured image above the post like a header. What is bad about this is the image is cropped to the center and looks really awful. Is there any way to fix this? I would like it removed all together from above the posts. or at least be able to adjust the crop.

    The blog I need help with is keepinitrural.wordpress.com.

  2. The crop size is set in the theme files, and we cannot edit those. When you create posts, just don't set a featured image. For existing posts that have featured images set, edit those posts and remove the featured image by clicking on the "remove featured image" link in the featured image module to the right of the text area and update the post.

  3. These images have to be set to featured image for the slider on the home page or porfolio pages and the featured categories on the home page. So I can't remove them from featured image.

  4. To remove them would require CSS and that requires the Custom Design upgrade. Do you have the upgrade?

    This would be the CSS you would need.

    .blog .skylark-blog-thumbnail {
        display: none;
    }

    You can preview this change if you wish by going to appearance > custom design > CSS and deleting all the informational text in the text area, paste the above code in there and then use the preview function to take a look.

  5. And sorry, I'm not as familiar with Skylark as I should be.
