I was trying to clear two recent posts from what you see when directed to my blog but they still appear when I sign in? What do I do to ensure that they have been removed?

I moved two posts to the trash but they still appear when I first sign on although when you click on the title they have been removed. What do I do to ensure that they have been removed when you immediately are looking at my recent posts as their titles are still there?

How to delete a post:
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts and locate post
hover over post title and click "edit"
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/
then click "move to trash" in the publish boxNext to permanently delete click "trash" and follow through http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/

Thanks for the response. I have just begun this to show some of my work to prospective employers. When I was in reader the posts I though I deleted were still there but after activating my blog the posts I thought would be seen are no longer there, only they remain when I select reader under the wordpress Icon. My blog is rowejohn944.wordpress.com. Thanks again.
