Help! I accidentally activated a Theme on my blog and lost the design of the old theme. The old theme is no long available, Vigilance, so I can't activate that. Restoring an older version of my custom CSS is not helping. Can someone help?

I'll flag this to be moved to the CSS forum. FYI CSS changes are theme-specific, so since you will end up with a different theme, you'll have to redo your CSS customization from scratch.
I understand that CSS is theme specific - how do I get back the theme I had customized?

You should be able to see your past changes in the revisions section in your blog's CSS Editor. Go to Appearance → Custom Design → CSS, and look on the right side. Click on the revisions to see your past CSS.
