HELP!! I need a theme like this!!

  1. Hi guys,

I have been looking for over a week now for just a simple theme for a client! All I want is a customisable background (that I can upload an image to), an area for the logo, and nav bar and a box where i can put content in to... that simple. Yet all the sites I have gone to I cannot find this! I have tried Themeforest and a bunch of others. This is the sort of theme I want:

Thank you to anyone that can assist me!

Have you tried the Catalyst theme? I used it on a blog hosted with another provider and love it, but not sure if it is supported on wordpress.com

  3. You can not upload themes of your own here on wordpress.com, you'll have to chose one of 170 themes here. But you can request staff to add certain theme in that list in the 'idea' forum.

  4. There are two kinds of WordPress: the .com which is here and the .org. You need to understand those two before we can answer your question, because external themes cannot be added here at all, and there are thousands of themes for WordPress.org, but we can't help with those.

  5. Hi everyone,

    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I have installed WordPress on my own server. Therefore I need to add a theme as per my image to it. If anyone knows of such a theme (similar or exact) please let me know.

    Cheers!

  6. As I explained, we can't help with that version: that is WordPress.ORG. I suggest you look at some of the higher-level theme designers, the ones who have worked directly with Automattic, like WooThemes. Some themes have malware built in.

If you have CSS editing skills, all the changes you ask for can be applied to EVERY WordPress.org theme. It's just a matter of changing which images are called in the CSS. But you will need to seek help at the WordPress.ORG forums, not here. We can't do the same level of theme hacking.

  7. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.
