help me remove hyphenation from site if possible

  1. I need to remove the hyphenation from my site, can anyone help please? I don't know if I can do it without paying for custom designs etc

    http://holecreative.com/

    Id appreciate any help / advice.

    The blog I need help with is holecreative.com.

  2. I don't see a single hyphenated word there. And I don't think buying upgrades changes the way hyphenation works on the site.

  3. Thanks for the reply but im seeing many hyphenated words ? eg.

    custom camper vans since 2010

  4. Nope, not hyphenated. What browser and version are you using?

  5. internet explorer 10 - 32 bit I think
    im using it on a school network so cannot upgrade or change it. will try chrome and 64bit. cheers

  6. Also hyphenated text in iPhone 5 browser.

  7. Only certain browsers support CSS hyphenation - you can see which here:

    http://caniuse.com/#feat=css-hyphens

    You would be able to modify the hyphenation rules - in browsers that support hyphenation - with some custom CSS, which would require the Custom Design upgrade.

    Adding this CSS under Appearance > Customize > CSS should remove hyphenation in posts and pages:

    article .entry-content {
    	-moz-hyphens: none;
    	-ms-hyphens: none;
    	-webkit-hyphens: none;
    	hyphens: none;
    	word-wrap: normal;
    }

    Just let me know if you need further help.

  8. I do not want hyphenation on my site, which I am just starting to build. How do I choose a "no hyphenation" option? I am using the "twenty-twelve" theme. Would using another theme make a difference?

  9. Rhea - to remove hyphenation in Twenty Twelve, you can add the same code I provided above under Appearance > Customize > CSS.

    article .entry-content {
    	-moz-hyphens: none;
    	-ms-hyphens: none;
    	-webkit-hyphens: none;
    	hyphens: none;
    	word-wrap: normal;
    }

    That will remove hyphenation in posts.

  10. Thanks! I think that worked.

  11. Thanks!

  12. Yep, looks like it did work! My pleasure.
