I just bought the theme Shelf and as my blog is in portuguese, I would like to change the messages:
"You can scroll the shelf using ← and → keys" in the main page and
"What do you think?" in the comments page
to portuguese.
How can I do that?

Translations in WordPress.com is done by this community and any one can contribute translations through GlotPress.
I see both strings haven't been translated to Brazilian Portuguese by anyone.
So, eliezerfilho, if you can contribute translations for those, please feel free to add it. Once your translations verified and deployed by administrators and, the theme will show the translated strings.

Done, I did both and one more in the GlotPress. I hope this helps and as soon as possible I can launch the blog in portuguese.
