Help! Simple How To..

  1. How can I remove the small outline around my images (Nat Geo + LP) in the widget bar?

    My Blog: joshuasquire.wordpress.com

    Thanks so much.

    The blog I need help with is joshuasquire.wordpress.com.

  2. You need to add a no-border command.
    You also need to specify the width in a different way, because some bad browser versions don't understand the 'regular' way and may display the images distorted or in their actual size.
    And there's no point making the images link to the full-size original files.
    So, in all, paste this in the widget:

    <img style="width:200px;border:0;" class="wp-image-430 aligncenter" alt="National Geographic" src="http://joshuasquire.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/national-geographic.jpg" />
    <img style="width:200px;border:0;" class="wp-image-432 aligncenter" alt="Lonley Planet" src="http://joshuasquire.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/lonley-planet.jpg" />

    Note that images downsized by WP lose some color and sharpness. For best quality you should use an image editing application to downsize the images to the appropriate pixel width, then upload and use these images instead of the oversized originals. (In that case you wouldn't need a width command in the code at all.) The maximum that can fit in the sidebar of Forever is 261px.

  3. Thank You so much!
