When I'm traversing the many blogs of WordPress.com, I often find myself seeing an idea, or wanting to blog about a topic, and have nothing around to write it down. I think it would be easier of WP put a notepad app in - just a little icon next to the top left W, with a plain text editor for you to type small blog titles or something.

There are lots of notepads available to computer users. Every operating system has at least one and there are even more on the internet like for example evernote.

I am a minimalist. I use draft posts, remember the milk and toodle-do to do lists. I don't want anything additional on my dashboard that duplicates those or the notebook in my operating system.
I'm also wondering if you are aware of Press This or not?
Fair point - I thought it would be nice for WordPress to have a built in app, but with the number of Notepads floating around, it does seem a little pointless to give us another. Especially since a lot of writers (me included) carry a pen and paper notepad with them all of the time.
