Help with CSS coding to do the following...

  1. I would like to remove the following on my site http://paperandlace.com/

    1. The 'latest entries' heading on the front page

    2. The line between aside posts

    OR how do I display my posts as single full page posts? I have the settings on standard, but it always comes up in an aside format?

    Thank you again for your help!

    The blog I need help with is paperandlace.com.

  2. I would like to remove the following on my site http://paperandlace.com/

    1. The 'latest entries' heading on the front page

    To hide the 'latest entries' heading on the home page of the Sight theme, add this to your Appearance → Themes → Customize → CSS panel:

    .latest-posts-header {
    	display: none;
    }

    .home .hentry:first-of-type {
    	padding-top: 0;
    }
  3. I would like to remove the following on my site http://paperandlace.com/

    2. The line between aside posts

    To hide the lines between aside posts on the home page of the Sight theme, add this to your Appearance → Themes → Customize → CSS panel:

    body.home .hentry,
    body.blog .hentry {
    	border-bottom: none;
    }
  4. OR how do I display my posts as single full page posts? I have the settings on standard, but it always comes up in an aside format?

    I checked your latest post http://paperandlace.com/2013/06/28/loving-a-little-geometric/ and I found that it is set to standard. I think you might be thinking it's showing up as an aside-formatted post on the home page when really that's just the Sight theme's way of displaying standard posts.

    Could you check out the description of the Sight theme on the following page about that theme, especially the Featured Images section, and then let me know if you still have any questions about how it's supposed to work?

  5. THANK YOU SO MUCH. You are a superstar! Both the css codes worked perfectly.

    I found the following article showing the single and gallery post formats:

    http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2010/11/24/sight-free-wordpress-3-0-1-ready-theme-for-magazines-and-blogs/

    But looking at the description on WordPress it seems it is not possible. Im confused!

    Also while I have your attention (cheeky huh!) How do I get the fancy "other posts you may like" thing happening at the bottom of my posts?

    Thank you so much for your time.

    Jax

    Sorry! I don't follow. Do you mean you want posts like http://paperandlace.com/2013/06/28/loving-a-little-geometric/ to look like this http://media.smashingmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/uploader/images/sight-theme/single.png ?

    Or do you mean you're trying to get a different post from your blog to look like this one http://media.smashingmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/uploader/images/sight-theme/gallery.png ?

    Also while I have your attention (cheeky huh!) How do I get the fancy "other posts you may like" thing happening at the bottom of my posts?

    WordPress.com doesn't have that option right now, but it's in the works! It probably won't be available in the near future, but when it is ready it will be announced at http://en.blog.wordpress.com/ so keep an eye out there for updates.

  7. Hello, thank you again. Sorry I wasn't very clear. I realise now that their examples are not front page examples. Duh! My mistake, please forget about all of that! haha

    Ooooh why don't they have it yet? Bummer! I noticed wordpress.org seem to have it as a plugin, but I am not sure if transferring over would be worth it just for that?

    Thanks again :)

  8. I am not sure if transferring over would be worth it just for that?

    Id's say no, but I am biased. :)

    Also, there are a lot of really cool things on WordPress.com!
