Help with design

  1. I cannot upload a picture without the site title vanishing nor can I create a menu properly. Can someone please help with both of these? I find it really disappointing that I paid almost $100 to do all these special tasks with my blog and Word Press can't even offer me a customer support number to call.

The blog I need help with is hudsonrivermusings.wordpress.com.

  2. If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com please do these four things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache:

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

If it’s still happening, then exactly which browser (and version of it) are you using? Check here if necessary http://www.whatbrowser.org/ and also post any error reports you get.

  3. Your theme is a premium theme and you purchase theme support direct form the theme designer in the Premium Themes Forum. Read-access to the premium themes forum is now open to all users so you can search to see if your question has been previously asked and answered there. The premium theme forums are at http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/ with separate sections for each theme. http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/luscious

If you are not successful when searching there is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum for your theme under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but do note that the premium theme must be active and you must be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it and post to it.

  4. Sorry, WordPress.com does not offer phone support at this time, but we can help you out with these issues.

We volunteers do not have access to premium theme you are using, but if you go to appearance > header, is there a place where you can set the color of the site title? If so, set your site title color to something other than white.

On the menu, you have two ways to go. By default, the top navigation menu will show all pages that you create. If you wish to show other things in the menus, or you want to make menus with submenus, you will want to create a custom menu.

Create a new menu, add the items you want to the menu and arrange them as desired, save the menu and then assign that menu to the primary menu location by selecting your menu name in the pulldown at upper left on the menus page in the theme location module. See this support document on the custom menus and let us know if you have any problems.
