help with Duo theme Exif removal from pages

  1. Hi there.

    http://paintingswithlight.wordpress.com/splashh/

Can you help me get rid of this miscelaneous EXIF just on this page.
I realize it is a theme issue, not WP directly. But would love some help or a way to turn EXIF off on certain pages in the theme over-riding master WP settings? but not turn EXIF off all together. thanks!

The blog I need help with is paintingswithlight.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi there,
Including EXIF data is optional. You can enable/disable this in 'Settings' --> 'Media' in your blog's dashboard. This is the link to the guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/media-settings/#image-gallery-carousel

  3. not to be a dick, but i'm sure you didn't read me.

If I do disable EXIF I won't have EXIF.............. anywhere.... on a Photography blog, about my Technique...

    Me again:

Let alone noticing that on this page Exif is showing without a Photo even being there? Which is obviously a glitch and why I am looking for overriding settings or maybe is there PAGE options? for each page to enable and disable features like this?

  4. Hey there,
I'm so sorry I missed the mark but not to worry as I've tagged this thread for Staff assistance.

  5. You must excuse timethief: among other things, she posts like a bot that's triggered by keywords (sees EXIF, posts whatever she happens to know about EXIF), and she likes to pretend that if she cannot answer a question then no other volunteer can...

    a) The option in Settings > Media has nothing to do with your problem: it applies to the gallery carousel, not to your posts.
    b) Duotone is designed for photoblogging. It displays EXIF data (if available), and that's not optional.
    c) You could turn that off (either globally or selectively) only if you had the Custom Design upgrade.
    d) The theme doesn't display EXIF data only if you have inserted an image into the post: same thing will happen if you had uploaded an image from your computer to your blog via the Add Media tool of that post, even if you inserted the image and then removed it from the post, or even if you never inserted the image. Do you remember if you had done this? If yes, do you remember which image it was? This would be the key to the one of the two ways you can use to get rid of the data.
