   i have just added google calendar but when I go to edit all that is on page is the code...

   Did you use this guide? http://en.support.wordpress.com/google-calendar/
   Note the first line there. You need to create a Google Calender first https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=cl&passive=1209600&continue=https://www.google.com/calendar/render&followup=https://www.google.com/calendar/render&scc=1

   i followed all of that and the calendar shows on my site. But when I go to eedit to add events all i have on the page is the code... :(

   You don't go to Edit to add an event: you sign in to Google on the account that has access and you add it to the Google calendar IN google. Then it automatically shows on the blog.
