Help with font colour change in DePo masthead

    Hello all, I hope someone can help me with this. I'm creating a little blog for a charity with regards to a specific event we have happening next month. I'm using DePo masthead with custom design. All is going mostly well - changed fonts, changed most colours, removed colours, replaced header text with logo etc but I'm stuck trying to change the font colour of the 'About' title and the link text colour (link to our website) on the front page from the dark red default to black but can't for life of me work out how to do this in the CSS. If anyone knows how to reduce the size of text in the 'author box text' at the top of the blog, I'd also be very grateful. Here's the link to it so far - http://www.moonbearhugs.org

    All help much appreciated. Thank you.

    The blog I need help with is moonbearhugs.org.

  2. This changes the standard and

    #menu ul li a, #menu ul li a:link, #menu ul li a:visited {
    color: #000000;
    }

    If you want to change the background color that appears when you hover over a menu item, that is here.

    #menu ul li a:hover, #menu ul li a:active, #menu ul li.current-menu-item > a, #menu ul li.current-menu-ancestor > a, #menu ul li.current_page_item > a, #menu ul li.current_page_ancestor > a {
    background-color: #990000;
    }

    Thanks for getting back to me, this has really helped with the colour issue. But I'm at my wits end with the author box font size. Basically it would be fine if I could increase my banner size but I can't seem to do this. The dimensions that it defaults to are as follows

    h1 {
    color:transparent;
    }

    #container h1 {
    width:1000px;
    height:200px;
    text-align:center;
    font-size:8em;
    line-height:1em;
    background:transparent url('http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb356/fosler/img_header-logo-2.gif') no-repeat scroll center;
    margin:0 auto;
    }

    So it looks really odd when the author box text is so big. I either need to be able to increase the banner size (preferred option) or reduce author box text size. And I can do neither aaargh ....

    Thank you

  4. Your banner is only 640px x 69px. You need to create a larger one and then use that one.

    You also need to go back to settings > general and put a site title in. Search engines can't read what is in an image and they don't like sites without titles. We can hide the title from view with CSS, but leave it for the search engines to find.
