Help with Forever Theme

When I look at the examples of the Forever theme such as this one http://jenandchris2012.wordpress.com/ there are three large rotating photos at the top of the blog. This seems to be a typical set up for the Forever theme.

Can someone please tell me how to do this? I have absolutely no idea.

The blog I need help with is grantandcarla.wordpress.com.

  2. From the Forever theme info page:

Featuring posts in a slider on your home page is easy. You just need sticky posts with Featured Images. Every sticky post you have (up to 10) that has a Featured Image (at least 888 pixels wide) attached will show up there. Easy!

It looks like you've already made one post on your blog a sticky post with a featured image, so you just have to do it again for as many photos (up to 10) that you want to show up at the top like that. If you're stuck on how exactly to make those sticky posts, let me know.

  3. P.S. The Forever theme info page (with links to more information about things like sticky posts and featured images) is here: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/forever/

I think that all I have to do is set the post to "sticky" ....but it's not working and I can't figure out why.

What exactly is meant by a "feature image?" Do I have to apply some sort of special tag to the image? Or will it know the image to be featured if there is only one image in the post?

Could this be some sort of cookies issue?

where did you find this button " feature image button" I am having difficulity with how exactly to make sticky posts

It should be in the "Featured Image" module when you are editing the post or page. You may have to turn in on in your screen options. http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image

Here are the directions to find the Feature Image button

    1) When editing a post, scroll to the bottom of the page and look on the right hand side.
2)You'll see some text there that you can click on that says "Featured Image."
    3) Click on the text then select the photo that you want to feature. (Feature means show in the thumbnail or the slider.)

A feature imge is used for teh slider or a thumbnail. If you want the photo (and an embedded link to the post) to show up in the slider, you'll also need to "sticky" the post. To do that

    1) When editing a post, look on the right hand side. You'll see something that says Visibility: Public [Edit].
    2) Click the edit button
    3) Tick the box that says "Stick this post to my front page"

    Hope this helps!
