Help with hover color of post titles.

  1. I'm wondering how I might change the hover color of the titles of my posts. Right now they are white and do not change color when I hover. I'd like to change their behavior and have them switch color when the cursor hovers over them. I looked around and tried this ...

    .entry-title a:hover {
    color: #00f;
    }

    And, as is usually the case with me, it did nothing that I could discern.

    My knowledge of CSS is pretty slim so maybe there's someone who might help?

    Thanks.

  2. You were really close! The only problem was the titles for your theme are called something else. Try this instead.

    .photo-title a:hover{
        color: #00f;
    }
  3. Hey there - try this and let us know if it helps. Change the color value to whatever you'd like.

    /* hover color for post titles */

    h2.photo-title a:hover {
        color: red;
    }
  4. @lizthefair -- oops - sorry for the cross post! :)

  5. Hello there,
    It looks like your theme, Nishita, uses a different class for the Post headers.

    Try this:

    .photo-title a:hover {
    color: #00f ;
    }

    Let me know if that works or not!
    Good luck!

  6. Oops! Same here. Sorry about the extra clutter!

  7. No worries. Always nice to have someone agree with me ;)

  8. :-p

  9. I'm so sorry to you all ... dannywellman, lizthefair, and 5mutek ... for taking so long to get back to you with a great big THANKS for helping with the 'hover-thing.' I used the code you suggested and BAM ... slick! Thanks much. I'll now see if I can find some other cool stuff to do with my site.
