Help with Tarski Comments position

    I'm using the Tarski template, and have edited it, except the comments still appear at the very bottom of the page, under everything in my sidebar. I've moved them left so nothing overlaps the sidebar, but can't figure out how to move them up the page (to sit under the original post)! Can anyone help? I would really appreciate it....

  2. This seems to be a css customization question. Is that the case? If so you'll have to wait patiently for css customization support from fellow bloggers with css skills.

    It seems to be displaying well in firefox 2.

    It is not displaying under your sidebar or overlapping the sidebar in firefox 2. Also I do believe the designer chose to have comments displayed differently "at the very bottom of the page" than we are accustomed to in most blogs. I confirmed this by putting the them up on my test blog and the comments are "at the very bottom" rather than snugged up to the posts they follow.

  3. It is in IE7 though. Looks like crap. :(

  4. I know (new computer) but isn't this a css customization issue?

    I just looked at it in Firefox and IE, and:

    Firefox looks the same as Safari.... Comments placed below the end of the sidebar, in the right hand column. I'd like the comments directly beneath the post.

    IE looks all kinds of crazy. Yikes! Any advice?

  6. I'm going to have to look at this tomorrow. The coffee show is closing and they're sick of me. :)

    Maybe someone else can speak up.

    TT, it may be a theme issue depending on how it's laid out.

    Yes I do believe it may be. Thanks for moving this to the correct forum. I'll try to locate a ccs "specialist" to help. :)

  8. if you want the comments to line up under your post, you want to add the following to the end of your CSS:

    #comments {<br /> width: 500px;<br /> float: right;<br /> clear: none;<br /> }

    then you can delete that comment p { clear: left; } stuff.

    Thank you so much for your help. Sorry my code is such a wreck. I did what sunburntka suggested, and it did move my comments into the right spot, but the field for making a comment disappeared entirely! And in IE the comment text and user info is still overlapping...

    Thank you again, so so much. :)

  10. ah, make it

    #comments, #respond {<br /> width: 500px;<br /> float: right;<br /> clear: none;<br /> }

    that'll bring the comment form up.

    i can't debug the IE stuff without sandboxing your CSS (installing the CSS on a blog locally). if anybody knows of a more powerful developer toolbar for IE, let me know.

    I'm sorry I'm having so much trouble with this. The comments are back (not invisible... yay!) but still at the bottom.

    Thanks again for your help.

  12. Thanks sunburntkamel - a simple fix and worth the price of the CSS upgrade in itself.

  13. I have the same problem but I can't and don't want to customize CSS. Comments are displayed in left sidebar and not under the original post.
