Help with the theme titled Publish

  1. Hello. I am trying to create a custom image size for the theme "Publish". The themes default image size is 525 px. I want the images to be 650px. I have tried to add custom css in the custom design section, however, nothing happens and the css will not override the themes default settings. Is this not possible with this theme?

Also want to remove the footer text. Can I locate the themes css files?
I have to admit I am missing the older version of WordPress.com.

    Thanks for your help!

The blog I need help with is forestandstream.wordpress.com.

  2. Also want to remove the footer text.

I don't help with CSS editing but I suggest you read this entire section which I will post an excerpt from:

May I remove credit links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com’, theme, font, or toolbar links?
All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide the footer credits or the toolbar with CSS after purchasing a Custom Design upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions

  3. Can I locate the themes css files?

Here's the stylesheet link for Publish.

  4. I have tried to add custom css in the custom design section, however, nothing happens and the css will not override the themes default settings.

There are two things you'll want to do. One is to add custom CSS to update the width of the content area. The other thing you'll want to do is update the content width seting in the Appearance → Themes → Customize → CSS panel to match whatever main column width you choose.

I checked http://forestandstream.wordpress.com/ and it looks like you've already figured this out!
