   Does anyone know if there's a way to remove the links at the top of the screen? Between my blog name and my custom header, there is a list of each page that I add to the blog. I don't want that list there because I already have a sidebar that shows what category each page is. Is there a way to remove those links or is it just part of the theme?

   Yes it's part of the theme. You can switch to a theme with no built-in header tabs - see here:
