Help with Twenty Ten theme

  1. Hello,

There are three things I need help with my Twenty Ten theme.

    1. I would like to change the font color of my pages on the navigation bar to black but keeping the hover colors. Everytime I change the text color to black, the hover changes too.

    2. My site title on the top right corner is missing and I don't know where it went!

    3. I would like to have a photo slider on the main page of the website (without the arrows). I want the type which automatically changes the photos when the site is visited.

    Thanks a lot!

The blog I need help with is klrizvi.com.

  2. 1. You cannot accomplish that without a custom design upgrade and doing the required CSS editing. Have you purchased the ugrade and is this a CSS editing question?

    2. Twenty Ten theme description > http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/twentyten/
Note that the Blog Tiele is on the top left hand corner and the optional Tafline is on the top right hand corner. Both can be changed at any time here > Settings > General

If you have chosen to suppress the display of header text on this page > Appearance Header then you can enable display again on that page.
    Header Text
__ Show header text with your image.
    click "save changes"

Note: Search spiders cannot read text in images only humans can read it. If you remove the text from the Blog Tile and Tagline on this page Settings > general there's nothing that can be displayed on the blog. Moreover, removing them from the General Settings page may result in problems with indexing you content as that's where search spiders expect to find it.

  3. 3. You cannot add a post slider to any WordPress.com theme that is not already coded to have one and Twenty Ten does not have a post slider. We cannot edit templates and themes. CSS editing cannot be used to change anything other than appearance. It cannot be used to change the way any theme functions.

Does the Custom Design upgrade let me edit HTML?
No. The Custom Design upgrade allows you to edit fonts and CSS only. You can change the appearance of a theme, but not its HTML markup, PHP code, or content.

These are the themes that have post sliders and note that how the post sliders function cannot be changed.

  4. Note: There are four themes that have a featured post slider that automatically advances: Debut, Currents, On Demand, Modularity Lite. (the first 3 are premium themes) and the last one is a free theme.

  5. Thanks a lot! This was very helpful!
