Hi friends! Audio player stuck on "Buffering". Help?

    Hello peeps!
    I'm trying to post the following audio file: http://jorgefarah.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/jor-mom-3.mp3

    However, when I try using the nifty little embedded player, it's stuck in "buffering". It works perfectly if I access the file directly.

    As a workaround, I posted a link to the direct file, but I would really like to have it show up as the embedded player.

    Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?

    Go to Edit the post and see the code where you've got the audio player. Is the link "live"? Like, highlighted blue and clickable? If so, unlink it by putting your cursor on it and hitting the Unlink icon. That usually fixes this.

    Thanks for the reply, raincoaster. I checked. Unfortunately, the link is not live or clickable, so I don't think that's it.

    Hey guys,
    So, I think this is resolved. I think there was something wrong with the file. I read somewhere else in the forum that sometimes some mp3s are just "AAC files in disguise", so I converted my mp3 to wav and then back to mp3. Then I posted it and it works. Thanks!

    I'm having this same problem. The link is not live. And it just gets stuck on buffering.
    Any other thoughts?

    That's because you've used this URL:
    http://www.mediafire.com/file/4th1ghtiglpzx43/episode_1_edited.mp3
    If you try this URL, you'll see that it doesn't link to the actual mp3, it links to a webpage. Forget MediaFire and use a file-hosting site that gives direct URLs: try Fileden or Kiwi6.
