    If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

    If you are using an IE browser in compatibility mode please disable that mode. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

    If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/

    (1) Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

    (2) Make sure that you have both third-party cookies enabled and JavaScript enabled
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/
    http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654

    (3) Disable all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily.

    (4) Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

    Add both *.wordpress.com and *.wp.com to your list of trusted sites under the Security tab. Make sure to uncheck the box for “Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.” http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/#frequently-asked-questions

    If you are not successful let us know:
    (a) How you are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com.
    (b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://www.whatbrowser.org/

    I have done each of these checks and all was in order. I have also cleared cache etc

    I am using Google Chrome (how do I let you know which version it is, I am not sure)

    I normally have my website (www.wholeheartedyoga.rg) on my bookmarks bar and when I visit it I am always logged in. If for whatever reason I am not logged in, I visit http://www.wordpress.com, log in, then go to my site and I can see the dashboard bar on top left of screen.

    Today I could not see it so I went to wordpress.com as usual.

    The URL becomes "http://wordpress.com/#!/read/following/" when I type in http://www.wordpress.com. I appear to be signed in but I still canot access dashboard on my yoga site.

    So I click on SIGN OUT (top right hand corner) and sign in as always

    It then takes me to the same URL

    http://wordpress.com/#!/read/following/

    But I still cannot get onto the site

    I cannot think of anything different I have done yesterday at all, and I really need to fix this as I have something I need to publish to my yoga students that follow the blog that relates to classes , I very much hope you can help me with this

    many many thanks

  6. @bethanydockrill What happens when you visit http://wholeheartedyoga.org/wp-admin ?

    @kardotim what the??

    ridiculous as it sounds, this is the page that I have not been able to get to! Thank you! !!!

    I have never used that URL to be honest, not ever- I just log in on front page of WP, click my website on the Favourites bar and then I find myself on the front page of my site, but with the grey admin bar at the side.

    But yesterday for first ever time I could only ever access front page without admin bar and the WP login page seemed to be stuck.
    Hope this was just a temporary glitch, thank you for the link-

    @julrosh, did you sort yours?

    Thank you all

  8. That URL is the URL of the dashboard. WP.com is now sending you to the page you saw instead whenever you sign in, except if you log in through that link.

  10. You've done it again, Time Thief - saved the day! Cleared my cache and voila - task bar restored. Thank you, thank you.
