Hiding WHOIS information with a WordPress domain

    Hello,

    Please forgive me if this has already been posted before, I tried a quick search but couldn't find any answers.

    Today I received a letter from those Domain Renewal Group scammers (a forum entry about it: http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/renewing-domain?replies=5), and it got me thinking about my WHOIS information.

    I have a domain with WordPress.com and I'm just wondering if I'll be able to hide my WHOIS details so that people like the Domain Renewal Group won't be able to contact me again.

    Any help is much appreciated, r.

    The blog I need help with is tgrblog.com.

    There isn't any way to do that as far as I'm aware. You are free to register the domain elsewhere with someone who offers anonymizing and then map it to a WP blog for $10 a year, but that's about it.
