Home Page, Posts, and Custom Menu

  1. I'm using a new test site to try and understand things better. A new site is created with a Home page containing a single post and one page called About. I then created about ten pages to arrange in a custom menu - but there is no option to add the Home page to the custom menu. It is not listed in the Pages box and disappears from the site once I've created the custom menu.

I want the Home page to remain the page containing posts and to be displayed in the custom menu. Do I have to change the Post page to a static page and call it 'Home' in order to display it in the custom menu?

The blog I need help with is kittaroos.wordpress.com.

  2. Clicking Select All in the Pages module will reveal a ready-to-use “Home” item.

For more on custom menus see here:

  3. Thank you very much. I do feel very foolish right now!
