How accurately do WordPress stats actually report? I have 5 new likes, but only 2 visits to the blog reported on the stats page...

The blog I need help with is b2bstorytelling.wordpress.com.

  2. Our stats are not real time stats. The data is cached and takes hours to update. See here for more on stats > http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/

The WordPress.com like button, like every other in-house use only like button (example: Facebook) can only be used by those who have registered WordPress.com/Gravatar username accounts when they are logged in to WordPress.com.

Note that email subscribers and don't have to click into the blog to read you posts if your provide a full post rather than setting your RSS feed here > Settings > Reading to "summary".

Also note that likes are not page views. In fact, likes and shares are misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can "like" and "share" your posts in several locations such as the Reader without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat.
