   I'm retired and on a quest to rediscover North America. I have been on the road since November 11, 2012. My plan was to write a daily journal with pictures but was never able to start the WordPress Blog with pictures. I keep a journal in Pages on my iPad but experienced problems when I could not open my December document, possibly due to many pictures.

   My problems with WordPress is that I would like it to be a private Blog for friends and family only. I keep trying to create a new blog but I'm told to update my credentials. How do I do that?

   The blog I need help with is patnachreinerblog.wordpress.com.

   I don't understand what and where WordPress would be asking you to "update my credentials." Can you copy and paste exactly what you are seeing into this thread?

   You should be able to start a new blog without any hindrance.

   You can make your current blog private so you can invite only the people you want to read it like this:
   http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

   I would like my blog to be visible only to users I choose – Select this option to create a private blog. If you want others to be able to view your private blog (and add comments, if you’ve enabled them) you’ll need to invite them to be a viewer.
