How are people finding my blog through Facebook?

  1. Hello! I checked my blog stats today and noticed that people had found my blog through Facebook amongst other ways. I do not have my blog listed on my personal Facebook page and I do not post my blog post to my Facebook page. Any idea how people are finding my blog through Facebook? Is it through my personal Facebook page?

    Thanks in advance!

The blog I need help with is psalmsixteeneleven.wordpress.com.

  2. The link to your blog is on your gravatar profile page http://en.gravatar.com/psalmsixteeneleven

You also have enabled Facebook sharing buttons on your posts and pages so this isn't mysterious at all. Note that exactly who shared your posts is not information that social networks provide to WordPress.com. it's a privacy issue so we don't have that information.

I also spotted something else you need to address. Please read > these reasons for non-appearance apply http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts

As you have assigned a combined total that exceeds 15 Categories/Tags to your posts, you need to edit and delete. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/ After removal note it may take several days for your posts to begin displaying there.

  3. timethief, thank you for the speedy reply! I did not know there was a limit to tags so I will make sure to go back and delete some.

So a Facebook referral could be from someone sharing one of my posts to their Facebook page and then others clicked on it? I didn't see any notification that someone shared it to Facebook. I'm curious if that happened, and if so, which post of mine it was! Do I have access to that information?
Perhaps in a reblog it was also posted to the person's Facebook page?

I appreciate your help! Thank you!

  4. No you do not have access to information as to who clicked the button. As I stated above that information is private and is not supplied to WordPress.com
    Go here http://wordpress.com/#!/my-stats/
In the Totals, Followers, Shares module click the "Shares" link. Then click http://wordpress.com/#!/my-stats/?blog_shares and scroll down to
    Top Posts & Pages
These posts on your site got the most shares

  5. Thank you for clearing that up!

  6. You're welcome. Note there's a helpful step by step tutorial that Staff have linked to on the bottom of your Admin page at http://learn.wordpress.com
