How can all my posts show up on my blog page under the archives section?

  1. Hello, I currently have the settings for my blog to show only one post at a time on the main page, however under the "Archive section" I would like all the posts (or at least more than one) to show up on the page when someone clicks on an archived month. How do I change this without changing more than one post to show up on the main page of the blog site? I cant find this answer in the help section. Thanks in advance.

  2. You can't, I'm afraid. It'll show as many as you've set it to show on the main blog page.

  3. Hello there,
In the majority of themes, posts on category or other archive pages show up just as they do on the main posts page. But in some themes only the beginnings of posts are shown, and in a few themes you only get titles or thumbnails. See > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/full-posts-in-archive-pages/

  4. Thanks folks--the reason I am asking however, is because on our friends blog site has the above configured (I have put in a request to them to ask how they did it but have not heard back yet) Timethief--do you they they have more than one post on their archive page because they have the pilcrow theme that allows it? On their mage page there is only one posting but their archive page has all of their entries listed on the page.

  5. Hi again,
Yes, what is displayed on Archives pages and Categories pages is theme dependent. No you cannot change it because we cannot edit templates or themes. Switching themes is my advice and I posted the link above that's relevant http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/25/full-posts-in-archive-pages/
